Why is health a global issue? (+ Rant)

PUTTING THIS HERE BECAUSE FUCK MY TEACHER I SWEAR TO GOD, I DID A WHOLE DAMN ESSAY AND WAS A FEW PARAGRAPHS FROM FINISHING BEFORE HE SAID.

"You need to use the sources provided."

NUH UH FUCK YOU THAT WAS NOT IN THE INSTRUCTIONS.

FUCK YOU, YOU JUST SAID 4 SOURCES, SUCK MY DIIIIIIIIIIICCCCKKKKKK!!!

So i'm putting the essay here (half finished) because i want it to be somewhere and not just rusting in my google docs.

Why is health a global issue?

Heath is a global issue for the solid fact that everywhere on the globe

there are humans built to survive the coldest winters and hottest summers,

ensuring the world stays in good health and supports all people, with clean

environments to keep germs from spreading, good physical health to keep

cancers and aging related illnesses, and mental health for a positive and

relaxing mental state.

The American University of the Caribbean school of medicine has created an

article on this very topic, commenting on not only mental health, but the

issue of famine stricken countries gone without proper nutrients.

“Hunger and famine remain global health problems despite significant

improvement in food security over recent decades. Even in wealthier

countries, natural disasters can expose political and economic inequalities,

and infrastructure is strained by population growth and environmental change.”

Food and by proxy the availability of food has always been a concern

for achieving global health, lots of areas are plagued with famines or

droughts, the climate has always challenged agriculture, and the poor

development of towns over the world has lead to getting food to these places

incredibly difficult, relying on volunteers, government aid, and donations.

The source speaks on environmental and political factors, and its reliable

for a number of reasons, for one it was posted august 28th 2023, only two

years old, and as a medical school filled with doctors and funded by the

government, its safe to say we can trust their information

The BMA also comments in an article about the challenges of global health,

specifically on the access of healthcare information, they state that tens

of thousands die in low resource countries due to the fact their carer or

health worker lacks the correct information.

They also mention HIFA (Health information for all) , a campaign that urges

people to join an email forum with information on health, currently

available in four different languages; there are less than 20,000 members,

all working to provide reliable information.

The BMA is a reliable source as well, as it links multiple other charities

and organizations as information sources, it was also recently updated 28th

of june 2024, showing that it keeps up with its information.

The Pubmed Central also posted an a article, written by Tobias Haseler

(GP lead for anticipatory care) and Christine Haseler (general practitioner)

, speaking on physical health after covid and the decline of physical

activity, it uses the WHO as a source to speak about the encouragement

they have recommended.

“World Health Organization guidance (updated in 2020) recommends a minimum

of 150-300 minutes of moderate intensity physical activity or 75-150 minutes

of vigorous intensity physical activity weekly, and encourages people to

exceed these targets.4 5”  They use links to support their statements the

article also speaks on the benefits of physical activity and the ways it

can improve your life, giving you more energy, helping you sleep and

generally becoming happier.

The Pubmed is a reliable source because it links all references of

information it uses and was published in Feb 2022, only three years old.
